Please note:

  • Classrooms do not have enough space to store large backpacks. Ideal bags are those that have long, thin straps that hang low on a hook and are therefore hard to knock off a small peg. They must also not be oversized. Ideal bags are ‘messenger’ bags, drawstring bags or satchel type bags. For most children a simple book bag is enough. Should you feel that your child requires a large backpack, please discuss this with your child’s teacher.

  • All but the shortest hair should be tied up. Hair that touches the collar, or a fringe that falls into the eyes, should be tied up or clipped back.

  • Hair accessories should be practical for school and neutral in colour.

  • The school does not permit children to have ‘extreme’ haircuts that could serve as a distraction to other children. This includes patterns cut into the hair, Mohican styles, artificial colours, or spiking. The definition of an extreme hairstyle is at the discretion of the Headteacher.

  • Any earings should be plain studs. They will need to be removed for PE.

  • No jewellery to be worn, except a watch, unless it is religious in nature and a parent has confirmed this.

  • No nail varnish is to be worn. Please keep nails short and practical for school.

  • Please name all items of clothing. A biro marking on the label is usually enough.

  • Shoes should be practical for school. No flip flops, jellies, clogs or boots are allowed.
